(posted 15th Feb 2006, 12:58pm - TWIDW post #0379)
THIS WEEK IN DOCTOR WHO - Hong Kong Premiere Week
February 15, 2006 - Vol 9, No 7
The weekly guide to Doctor Who broadcasts worldwide.
by Benjamin F. Elliott

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/torchwood
Thursday 16 February:
People + Arts (Spain/Portugal) 10:30PM CET - The Doctor Dances
Friday 17 February:
Yes Weekend - 6:20 & 10:53PM - Father's Day/The Empty Child / The Doctor Dances
Saturday 18 February:
één Belgium 4PM - Boom Town
Sunday 19 February:
ATV World (Hong Kong) 11:35PM - Rose (Hong Kong Premiere!)
Tuesday 21 February:
Ztélé Canada 8PM - Fête Des Pères
Friday 17 March:
SciFi US 9PM EST/PST - Rose (US Premiere!)
Doctor Who premieres this Sunday night (the 19th) at 11:35PM in Hong
Kong on English language station ATV World, starting with Rose.
Here's wishing it a long and successful run in that territory.
Episodes are airing one time with either no or limited commercials -
the time slot is 11:35PM to 12:25AM. No repeats expected.
USA - Iowa Public TV http://www.iptv.org viewers should remember that the Doctor Who pledge night is March 11, the week before the new series premieres on SciFi. When you pledge, you'll get to vote on which Doctor you want to see next on IPTV (Hartnell, Troughton, Pertwee, Tom Baker, Davison, Colin Baker, McCoy). As of this writing it is expected that the winning Doctor will begin airing on IPTV right away, displacing Sylvester McCoy after just 2 of his stories air (presumably McCoy will be allowed to finish his current run if he wins the vote).
The Gallifrey One Doctor Who convention http://www.gallifreyone.com
is this weekend (February 17 through 19) in Los Angeles, CA. Much of
the readership of this column will be there, and I hope it's a great
time. Hope to make it one of these years when time and money are
willing. It is produced by Shaun Lyon of the Outpost Gallifrey
website (same link), which hosts this column online.
The BBC Press Office http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice and C21 Media
http://www.c21media.net often announce when a Doctor Who
international sale occurs. Worth keeping an eye on, just in case.
